Taking the Path that Best Fits Me
Even though I have been through a lot I’ve still managed to accomplish getting through high school. The things that make me the person who I am today are the changes and adaptations in my life so far. I’ve had to experience divorce between the two of my parents and the effects from that, I’ve moved to multiple houses, stressed over school, lost friends and family on the way there through different ways, however, at the same I have managed to make and gain new ones.
In my life I have been thinking and daydreaming about my possible future and how it’ll be and who I might be with. I’ve thought about all the fun, sad, and happy moments I’ve had, and it makes me think of all the possible moments I might have in my future. I’ve made a lot of friends in high school and probably will stay in touch with only a fraction after. And I’ve given it some thought and I don’t plan on being very social this year besides going out with friends every other weekend but, my main plan is to focus on my school work and to stay caught up with all my classes.
In my life I’ve learned a lot but, I still have trouble deciding what I want to do with my future. So I set a goal for myself and it’s to get through college and have a career in the field I love most, art. I’ve always loved drawing and creating things and I’ve never been able to figure out how to fully apply my passion for the arts into my future. Throughout my life I’ve been given help from different types of people and learned from them; increasing my knowledge and skill in drawing. Learning how to put in full value such as shading and lighting to make drawings and art work more realistic and better.
Some advice that I would give to someone that’s in high school is that they should always stay on pace by not procrastinating, paying attention during class and studying to fully understand the lesson and when choosing a job they should make sure they will enjoy it and that they're suitable for the position. Make sure that this job is something you can call a career and you’ll be willing to put a lot of hard work into it. And be sure to make a backup plan and have something in mind that you would rather work on if the job you wanted didn’t work out. Another thing I would tell someone is to accept change because no matter where you are in life and how good things are eventually change will happen. Change can happen in many ways such as people moving, get fired, get relocated, pass away, have kids, get too busy, or become strangers all being part of life. So it's better to accept it then to try to avoid it making life a lot more easier to handle.
